Redgum Vet and Pet Boarding were in a position many Vet clinics find themselves. Our senior nurse had left, to pursue other options, and I was worried our remaining nursing team might have some gaps in skills and knowledge. Not coming from a nursing background myself, I felt a little out of my depth in developing a gap analysis and training program relevant to the specific needs of our practice.
I chose TJ from FrogRock Consulting because she had worked with our team in the past as a locum nurse – she already knew the basics of how Redgum operated and functioned. TJ undertook a comprehensive program of observation, review and analysis of the nursing team, as well as considering how that team interplayed with he whole team at Redgum. In developing strong and open relationships with the team, TJ was able to gain a very real awareness of skill gaps and communication lapses, whilst accommodating individual personalities and philosophies.
Her approach was inclusive of the whole team, not singling out any one individual, within the change process. TJ maintained open and honest communication with management, in promoting positive leadership avenues and skills.
